MobiDoc is a telemedicine platform, enabling remote delivery of healthcare services. Through MobiDoc, you can make an appointment with a doctor and receive video consultation, all at the comfort of your own home. Both medications and documents can be delivered to you. Further communication with the clinic can be conveniently done via in-app text messaging.

Terms and Conditions

Introduction

By using MobiDoc, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions shall constitute an agreement between you and MobiDoc.

Appropriate usage

MobiDoc is a telemedicine platform that facilitates health care delivery over the telephone or via computers and mobile devices for non-urgent conditions.

MobiDoc is for non-urgent medical conditions only. If you believe you are dealing with a medical emergency, please attend the nearest Accidents and Emergency department.

While telemedicine can offer tremendous convenience to users, it has limitations. The lack of an in-person examination limits the information available to healthcare providers, thus not all conditions are suitable for telemedicine. Your healthcare provider will decide if your condition is suitable for management by telemedicine and advise you accordingly.

Healthcare Provider

A healthcare provider can be a medical doctor, a Chinese medicine practitioner or an allied health professional which includes but is not limited to dietitians, speech therapists, clinical psychologists and physical therapists. All medical doctors affiliated with MobiDoc are registered under the Medical Council of Hong Kong. All Chinese medicine practitioners affiliated with MobiDoc are registered under the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong. MobiDoc merely facilitates the communication and logistics of service provision between provider and user but does not have control over nor is responsible for the actions and decisions made by either party.

User

Users of MobiDoc must be at least 18 years of age and reside in Hong Kong at the time of use. A user must be able to provide proper identification documents such as Hong Kong ID card or passport in order to use MobiDoc. Healthcare providers using MobiDoc have the need to ask to inspect via telecommunication means such documents to verify the identity of the user and deny provision of service if the identity of the user is questionable.

Patient

Only the user himself/herself and his/her Legal dependents may be registered as patients under the user’s account. Proper identification documents such as Hong Kong ID card or passport must be available at time of consultation for verification. Healthcare providers using MobiDoc have the need to ask to inspect via telecommunication means such documents to verify the identity of the patient and deny provision of service if the identity of the patient is questionable.

Refund Policy

Refund policy is determined by the healthcare provider and may differ between providers. Information on refund policy should be sought directly from providers. Mobidoc will issue refunds to payments which the corresponding providers agree to refund.

Prescriptions and Delivery

Providers may prescribe medications to the patients. Medications will be packaged and dispensed at the provider’s clinic or at a registered pharmacy. Patients or their authorized representatives may collect them in person at the dispensing location or authorize Mobidoc to arrange pickup and delivery to the patient by 3rd party courier service. By requesting delivery, the user authorizes Mobidoc to arrange courier service on his/her behalf. Medical supplies such as specimen bottles and documents such as payment receipts, medical certificates, paper prescriptions and referral letters may also be delivered under the same arrangement and terms specified above.

Mobidoc cannot be held liable for any error or failure on the part of the courier. It is the responsibility of the provider to clearly communicate to the user/patient the intended contents of the delivery package and the responsibility of the user/patient to verify that the contents of the package matches the information given. Should any discrepancy arise, the patient/user should contact the provider immediately.

Mobidoc does not allow danger drugs to be delivered.

Cessation of service

MobiDoc reserves the right to, at its sole discretion, deny service fully or partially to a user or terminate or suspend a user account without notice for reasons including but not limited to: (1) Breach of this Terms and Conditions or other regulations, (2) Engagement by you in unlawful or fraudulent activities, (3) Security issues, (4) Request by law enforcement or other government agencies or statutory bodies, (5) Any other unforeseen circumstances.

MobiDoc cannot be held liable for any undesired consequences resulting from cessation of service.
